Bruce Eckel posted an article on how to use
Flex with a Python back end over at Artima.
He said its possible to do the same thing "with any language that has support for creating an XML-RPC server."
In any case, I'm going to look into this in the future (I still haven't hopped onto the bandwagon). Anyone else played with it? What has been your experience?

For clarification, I didn't mean have you played with Flex specifically, but Flex with Ruby/Python/insert_language_of_choice_here rather and making it desktop style like Bruce was talking about.
