Just discovered the not safe for work
WTFPL. It's been around for quite some time though. When are we going to see it debut on RIAForge?

WTF is WTFPL? Want to explain what this is a little more. Especially since you say the link is NSFW.

Tony,
I just read it. It is the "Do What The F___ You Want To Public License". Basically, a license intended to be less restrictive than GPL or even BSD.

Sorry Tony. I should have mentioned that. It's only NSFW because of the big "F" word there, but it is just text. It sort of stuck out to me.
Anyway, thank you Steve for stepping in. It is exactly like he said. I thought I had written "license" somewhere in there, that would have given a better clue. But clearly, I just made that memory up. =)

I have to ask, why use that license? Why not just release your source code, and forget about a license?

Well, quoting from that page, answering the question "Isn’t this license basically public domain?" the non-ranting part of the response was "Public domain varies with the jurisdictions, and it is in some places debatable whether someone who has not been dead for the last seventy years is entitled to put his own work in the public domain."
I'm not familiar with all the licenses on RIAForge, but I didn't see a Public Domain one in any case. And, I may not simply want to release my code, but do so using a system like RIAForge.
But, I think I should have put a smiley up there or something. I wasn't quite seriously asking when I posted that, but at the same time, I'm starting to think it may actually have some value.
